Myna

A washing device for reusable menstrual pads
In collaboration with Uger, Udaipur
National Institute of Design, India
Myna is a washing device that aims to provide a quick and easy way to remove stains, closing the convenience gap between reusables and disposables. Easy disassembly allows for simple use and ability to clean the device itself. Inspired by Jugaad design for accessible manufacture.
Myna has a ‘copy-left’ meaning the research and design can be freely used by anyone, so long as these rights are preserved in later works. Below is an initial prototype.
